  • Pour 3 tablespoons of cream of tartar and 1 quart of water into the dirty pot. Bring water to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. Clean off gunk, wash and rinse well.

Cleaning Feather Dusters

  • Put a feather duster into a strong plastic bag and pour in a cup or two of cornstarch to clean it. Close bag tightly and shake hard (outside) for about half a minute. Take out duster and shake until all cornstarch is gone.

  • When taking a shower, wash the doors with a bit of cheap shampoo, that you've poured onto a sponge or plastic scrubbie. Rub over surface, rinse and then wipe dry with the towel you used to dry off.

No Mess Chocolate Drizzle

If you are using semi-sweet chocolate chips to drizzle over cookies or a cake, put the bag of chips into a bowl of very hot water. Massage it every couple of minutes until the chips are melted. Cut one corner of the bag a bit and simply squeeze out the melted chocolate right onto the cookies or cake. When done, just toss out the bag.
